They used to (might still do) have a shop I used to go past near Goodge Street. Always had birds out front trying to entice you in for a personality test. Though they had a mini riot outside with people protesting against them.
They also have a very dubious relationship with the city of London old bill

If you're at all curious just how mental scientology/ists are then there's a really good louis theroux documentary about it, he even has someone who used to be a member and has since left and now being harassed and blackmailed by the "church"

I read a biography of L Ron Hubbard in the late 80s called Bare Faced Messiah, which was hilarious. Got to hand it to him, he managed to make his life even more unbelievable than his science fiction.
